I have just recently started to paint the figure again. I have been painting from the model, but not as technically finished pieces. These are mostly studio pieces done from both photo reference or studies done from the subject.

I paint quick studio studies when 1. I have little time 2. I want to time myself to see what I can get done in a set time frame 3. I am not motivated and want to get in the mood to paint or 4. new fruits, vegetables or flowers/plants have come into the house and they motivate me to a still life.
